Linoleum is a resilient floor covering that and is actually made from—among other things—linseed oil. It is manufactured as a 12′ wide sheet with a felt backing and came in a variety of tile and wood patterns. It has been largely replaced by Vinyl, which has similar properties of flexibility and durability, but greater visuals and comfort underfoot.

What is Fiber Floor or cushion step vinyl?

Many new vinyl products are manufactured with an integrated fiberglass core or “cushion” which gives the product a soft feel underfoot. Cushion flooring is a great choice for high traffic areas prone to spills such as Kitchens or Bathrooms.

Do vinyl floors have an odor or off gas?

Because it is made from chemicals, some vinyl flooring can produce a smell after it is installed in the home and this usually dissipates in a few days. Fortunately, many of the products we carry are rigorously tested for harmful VOCs and meet FloorScore certifications for indoor air quality. We can help you choose the right product for your needs.

Can I install luxury vinyl plank in my cabin?
